Well no, not exactly - SLC Airport, delayed for three hours. Fog at SFO has delayed all the flights. Hmmm sending emails, surfing the net,reading and not drinking beer (keep thinking that would pass the time then think "I've done that once already this week and I got work tomorrow") so no beer drinking going on. Enjoyed St Charles and felt variously elated at the possibilities and variously overwhelmed. If you've been to university imagine this - all those overachieving adult students at the front of the lecture theater,asking clever, intelligent and,occasionally,irritating (especially for those of us thinking it was time for a drink......) questions - okay unfair, drinks rolled into the classroom promptly at 530 each day). Actually about everyone was smart, engaging, funny and interesting to talk to. It was very comforting to hear others challenges - this is a behemoth organization so we are all on big learning curves.
Working from home for the next few days so most happy about that. Irene and I going on a shopping spree Saturday (this is where I fill the gaps on anything we haven't got.....my first purchase being a very nice butchers block for the kitchen and a commitment to buy a microwave and sofa!).....oooooh tho as well as the bed I did by a cow hide rug (like it very much)....there is some logic going into all of this....I think.
